    Memory

    The ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Plus has 32x DDR4 ECC memory slots (16x per processor) supporting DDR4 ECC 3200MHz memory. Select up to 16x modules of matching memory per processor. Note that the Xeon Scalable processors have 8 memory channels per processor, thus we recommend selecting 8 memory modules per processor to occupy all memory channels for optimal performance. If you have a high memory count, go with 16 memory modules to occupy all the memory slots. We recommend selecting memory in multiples of 8 - occupying 8 DIMM slots and leaving the other 8 DIMM slots available for future upgrade.

    OS Boot Device

    If you would like to reserve the front storage bays for active projects or storage databases, these are pre-configured RAID 1 (redundant) storage solutions dedicated as a OS boot device. The HPE NS204i-p NVMe PCIe3 boot device is recommended if you're seeking a dedicated high performance boot drive with redundancy. The USB microSD is a good solution if you're looking for a smaller dedicated redundant boot device and don’t want to occupy a PCIe slot.


    Network

    Servers come standard with one 1Gb Ethernet port. Additional network cards can be added for multiple network connections or 10Gb, 24Gb, or 100Gb networks. Daughter cards are embedded on the motherboard, not occupying a PCIe slot.
